Now as the 2014 season approaches, can the teams within the division repeat their success from a year ago? Here are the predictions for the AFC West for this season. Denver Broncos The defending division champions open up the season with three straight games against playoff teams and that concludes with a road game at CenturyLink Field against the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Their schedule does not get any easier from that point on as they play 10 total games against teams that had a .500 record or better last season. Sept. 9, 2014 http://talkgridiron.com/talkcardinals/2014/09/week-1-arizona-cardinals-erase-11-point-deficit-to-defeat-san-diego-chargers/ The Arizona Cardinals displayed plenty of resilience in the season opener on Monday night by erasing an 11-point second-half deficit to defeat the San Diego Chargers 18-17 at the U of Phoenix Stadium. Carson Palmer led the way for the Cardinals with a 304-yard and two touchdown pass performance. The first half of the game was a defensive battle with each team causing one turnover. The Cardinals’ turnover occurred when defensive back Jerraud Powers intercepted Philip Rivers in the final minute of the second quarter. Arizona responded quickly after the change of possession with a three-play 30-yard drive that resulted in Chandler Catanzaro’s second field goal of the half that gave his a team a 6-3 lead heading into the locker room.
